PWI Wins Carlsbad Chamber 2011 Brilliance in Business Award

March 7, 2011

We are excited to share with you that Partnerships With Industry was awarded the 2011 Brilliance in Business Award last Friday evening by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. PWI was selected from a field of ten nonprofits in the North County. This is the first time the Chamber, the second largest in the County, has presented its prestigious award to a nonprofit organization.

Accepting the award were President/CEO Mark Berger, North County Director Julia Savoy and Director of Business Development Brian Garbark. Savoy and her team, along with Garbark have been active participants in the Chamber for the past two years. The award was presented at the Park Hyatt Aviara to a sold out audience of 600 at the Chamber’s annual business awards dinner.

PWI began its services in the North County, placing 40 special education students in jobs in 1985. Since then, PWI has assisted over 11,000 persons with developmental and other disabilities to achieve their dream of employment.
